Objective To deeply explore the rich connotation and contemporary value of traditional Chinese medicine culture, promote the innovative development of traditional Chinese medicine health culture in the digital era, and make greater contributions to building a healthy China. Methods Based on the historical origin, current situation and shortcomings of traditional Chinese medicine guidance, the development path of digital empowerment of traditional Chinese medicine guidance was explored. Results Guidance presents different characteristics and functions in different periods. It has entered a new stage of development, while the construction of digital informationization is relatively lagging and scattered. Conclusion Accelerate the construction of traditional Chinese medicine guidance database and digital museum to strengthen service supply; build a digital education platform for traditional Chinese medicine guidance to promote teaching development and international communication; integrate emerging digital technologies to promote the innovative development of traditional Chinese medicine guidance.
