Objective To observe the application effect of rapid rehabilitation concept in postoperative nursing of laparoscopic colorectal cancer. Methods From November 2023 to September 2024, colorectal cancer patients were selected as the research subjects in our hospital, and 72 cases were screened under laparoscopic surgical treatment conditions. Using the "double ball grouping method", a conventional group (red ball) and an experimental group (white ball) were divided, with 36 cases in each group. The conventional group received traditional nursing care, while the experimental group received fast rehabilitation concept nursing care. The quality of life (QOL) scores and incidence of complications were compared between the two groups. Results The QOL score of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group, with a comparison of P<0.05. The incidence of complications in the experimental group was lower than that in the control group, with a comparison of P<0.05. Conclusion Implementing the concept of rapid recovery nursing for patients undergoing laparoscopic surgery for colorectal cancer can promote recovery, reduce complications, and enhance quality of life. It is recommended to apply this approach.
