Objective To explore the application effect and existing problems of self-drawing spectrum training in standardized training of nurses, and to provide reference for improving teaching and training methods. Methods Purposive sampling method was used to recruit 21 standardized training nurses who had participated in self-mapping and 5 nursing managers who had carried out self-mapping-based training in tertiary hospitals across the country from June to September 2023as the study subjects, and face-to-face interviews were used to collect the data, which were analyzed, summarized, and refined into themes according to the Colaizzi seven-step analysis method. Results The advantages and disadvantages of self-drawing spectrum training can be summarized into six themes: Self-drawing spectrum training can deepen the nurses understanding of disease treatment and strengthen the memory of knowledge; It can improve the nursing quality of nurses with low seniority. Help teaching and learning; Contribute to the comprehensive development of nursing staff; The whole process of drawing spectrum occupies a part of the work break time; The self-drawing spectrum process lacks strong support. Conclusion The self-mapping spectrum is very helpful for the rapid growth of standardized training nurses, which is both growth and challenge for them, requiring nurses to have a desire to grow, and also requiring senior nurses, nursing managers and medical institutions to provide corresponding help.
