Objective To focus on analyzing the factors related to postoperative delirium in elderly orthopedic patients and their nursing interventions. Methods 62 elderly patients who underwent surgical treatment in the orthopedics department of our hospital from January 2023 to December 2023 were selected as the study subjects. They were divided into a delirium group (n=22) and a non delirium group (n=40) based on the incidence of postoperative delirium. Clinical data of patients were collected, and factors affecting postoperative delirium were analyzed. Multivariate logistic regression analysis was performed, and nursing measures were summarized. Results Univariate analysis showed that surgical time, intraoperative blood loss, anesthesia method, pain level, and postoperative hypoxemia were related factors affecting postoperative delirium in patients (P<0.05); Multivariate regression analysis showed that surgical time, intraoperative blood loss, anesthesia method, and pain were risk factors for postoperative delirium in elderly orthopedic patients (P<0.05). Conclusion There are many factors that affect postoperative delirium in elderly orthopedic patients. In clinical practice, it is necessary to combine the patients situation and actively take intervention measures to promote patient recovery and ensure the effectiveness of surgical treatment.
