Objective To explore the impact of AIDET communication mode on acute pain and recovery time during general anesthesia recovery in patients undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Methods Patients who underwent laparoscopic cholecystectomy in our hospital from January to June 2023 were randomly divided into two groups. The control group consisted of 30 patients who received routine communication nursing care, while the experimental group consisted of 30 patients who received standardized AIDET communication. The NRS score, recovery time, and nursing satisfaction during the recovery period were compared between the two groups. Results ① The NRS scores of the experimental group during anesthesia recovery and at PACU were (2.26 ± 0.73, 1.46 ± 0.57), which were better than those of the control group (2.80 ± 1.03, 2.10 ± 0.71). ② The residence time in the anesthesia recovery room of the experimental group (38.76 ± 6.33) was significantly shorter than that of the control group (44.76 ± 10.21); ③ The overall satisfaction rate of patients in the experimental group was 93.33%, significantly higher than 66.67% in the control group, and there was a significant difference between the two groups (P<0.05). Conclusion The application of standardized AIDET communication mode in patients undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy can effectively reduce the incidence of postoperative acute pain, shorten recovery time, improve nursing quality, and increase patient satisfaction.
