Objective To analyze and discuss the nursing effect of "Internet + nursing service" in the process of implementing extended care for patients with home indwelling catheter treatment. Methods The experiment was carried out from December 2021 to December 2023. All subjects received indwelling catheter treatment at home, a total of 60 cases. Our hospital implemented continuous care for such patients, including 30 subjects who received "Internet + nursing service" on this basis, and 30 patients who did not receive it were the control group. The clinical effects of the two nursing methods were compared. Results The satisfaction rate of patients in the study group and the mastery rate of urinary tube nursing knowledge were higher than those in the control group, the probability of complications was smaller, and the cost of replacing urinary tube was lower, the differences were significant (p < 0.05). Conclusion In the process of receiving indwelling catheter treatment at home, the application of "Internet + nursing service" on the basis of continuous care for patients can improve patients satisfaction and mastery of relevant knowledge, and the cost of treatment and the probability of complications are lower for patients, which can be widely promoted in clinical practice.
