Objective To analyze and summarize the safety issues in the nursing work of young midwives in delivery rooms, and to summarize relevant countermeasures. Methods A total of 60 parturients who were assisted by 20 young nurses in the delivery room of our hospital were selected as the observation objects. The safety issues in their work were summarized and analyzed, and evaluated by senior nurses and nursing parturients. Results The main safety issues of young nurses in obstetric nursing were ranked in order as lack of responsibility, insufficient work ability, incomplete occupational protection, insufficient communication ability, and insufficient psychological resilience; The satisfaction scores of 60 parturients towards the nursing skills, nursing feelings, humanistic care, and respect dimensions of young midwives were relatively low. Conclusion There are many safety issues in the nursing work of young midwives in the delivery room. Targeted intervention and training should be carried out to reduce the midwifery risks of such workers.
