Objective This study was designed to investigate the effectiveness of a management method for oral cleaning during perioperative period of transoral thyroidectomy. Methods From March 2023 to December 2023, 36 patients who underwent transoral thyroidectomy were identified as the study objects and divided into two groups with equal numbers under the application of reasonable grouping methods. The control group received routine nursing while the study group implemented oral cleaning management based on the control group. Results The perioperative oral cleaning score of the study group was higher than that of the control group (P<0.05), and the incidence of postoperative infection was lower than that of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion In the perioperative period of transoral thyroidectomy, oral cleaning care can effectively improve the oral cleaning effect, reduce the incidence of postoperative infection and promote postoperative recovery.
