Abstract
Objective To analyze the value of using blood red blood cell parameter testing in anemia patients. Method 50 healthy individuals who underwent physical examinations in our hospital from July 2021 to July 2023 were selected as the control group, and 50 anemic individuals during the same period were selected as the observation group, all of whom underwent blood red blood cell parameter tests. The results of the blood red blood cell parameter tests and the red blood cell parameter values of different types of anemic individuals were compared. Result The red blood cell count, average red blood cell volume, and hemoglobin level in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the distribution width of red blood cell volume was higher than that in the control group, with significant differences (P<0.05). The hemoglobin level in patients with iron deficiency anemia was higher than that in hemolytic anemia, and the average red blood cell volume and red blood cell count were lower than those in hemolytic anemia, with significant differences (P<0.05). Conclusion Abnormal levels of blood red blood cell parameters can indicate the presence of anemia in the examinee and provide accurate direction for the identification of anemia types.
