Objective To understand the current status and influencing factors of fear of disease progression among hospitalized coronary heart disease patients in a tertiary hospital. Method A total of 158 hospitalized patients with coronary heart disease in a tertiary hospital from May to August 2022 were selected, and a survey was conducted using the General Information Form, the Fear of Disease Progress Scale (FOP ⁃Q ⁃ SF), and the Coronary Artery Disease Education Questionnaire (CADE-QSV). The total score of fear of disease progression in patients with coronary heart disease was (28.02 ± 7.42) points, of which 31 cases (19.6%) had a fear of disease progression score ≥ 34 points. The results of multiple linear regression analysis show that knowledge of coronary artery drug disease and psychological risk are influencing factors for fear of disease progression in coronary heart disease patients, which can explain 43% of the fear of disease progression in coronary heart disease patients. Conclusion Among the relevant influencing factors of fear of disease progression in hospitalized patients with coronary heart disease, we found that strengthening psychological care for patients with coronary heart disease on the basis of daily care will be more conducive to reducing their anxiety, depression and other emotions, promoting their physical and mental recovery, and improving clinical nursing satisfaction.
