Objective To explore and analyze the effect of applying the home orthopedic nursing platform in the care of elderly patients with osteoporotic intertrochanteric fractures. Methods This time, 76 research subjects were randomly selected from the Department of Orthopedics. All of them were diagnosed with elderly osteoporotic intertrochanteric fractures through specialist diagnosis and were willing to participate in this study. According to the order in which the patients were admitted to the hospital, they were divided into a control group that implemented routine care and an observation group that implemented a home orthopedic care platform. The recovery of hip joint function, self-care ability, and medication compliance of the two groups of patients were compared. Results According to the hip joint function Harris score assessment, the hip joint function of both groups of patients recovered after discharge. Among them, the Harris score of the patients in the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group at 3 months and 6 months after discharge (P<0.05). ; In terms of self-care ability, the self-care ability scores of the observation group 3 months and 6 months after discharge were significantly higher than those of the control group (P < 0.05); not only that, the medication compliance of patients in the observation group also improved significantly after discharge, better than the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion Using the home orthopedic care platform in the care of elderly patients with osteoporotic intertrochanteric fractures can promote hip joint functional recovery, improve medication compliance, and improve self-care ability.
