Objective To study the effect and value of PDCA cycle nursing on infection control in the operating room for patients undergoing endoscopic urological surgery. Methods The total number of cases in this study was 100, all of which were urological patients admitted and cared for in our hospital from January 2023 to January 2024. They were divided into control group and observation group according to different nursing methods. Patients in the control group received routine nursing management, while patients in the observation group received PDCA cyclic nursing management. The nursing quality, incidence of surgical infection and nursing satisfaction of the two groups were evaluated and analyzed. Results After intervention, the nursing quality of the observation group was higher in the operating room air quality, the quality of articles, the quality of disinfection and the quality of nursing staff operation, the incidence of surgical infection including surgical incision infection and urinary tract infection was lower, and the nursing satisfaction was better. The inter-group value P < 0.05 indicated that there was comparative significance. Conclusion PDCA cycle nursing can effectively improve the quality of nursing, improve the overall quality of hospital nurses, reduce the incidence of surgical infection, and improve the quality of life and nursing satisfaction of patients. It is worth promoting in clinical practice.
