Objective To analyze the application effect of adopting birds nest nursing in neonatal care and its impact on nursing satisfaction. Methods 120 newborns admitted to our hospital from February 2023 to February 2024 were selected as the study subjects. They were randomly divided into a reference group and an experimental group using a random number table method. The reference group received routine care, while the experimental group received birds nest care. There were 60 cases in each group. The effects of the two groups were evaluated based on clinical indicators of newborns, incidence of complications, and parental satisfaction with nursing. Results In the clinical indicators of newborns in the experimental group, sleep time, amplitude of temperature changes, time to leave the box, and blood oxygen saturation were all better than those in the reference group (P<0.05). The incidence of complications in the experimental group was lower than that in the reference group (P<0.05). The satisfaction of parents with nursing care in the experimental group was higher than that in the reference group (P<0.05). Conclusion Adopting a birds nest style nursing approach in neonatal care can effectively improve clinical indicators of newborns, reduce the occurrence of complications, and enhance parental satisfaction with nursing.
