Objective this study aims to explore the effect of psychological nursing intervention on the improvement of mental state of inpatients with malignant tumor, to evaluate the practical effect of psychological nursing in improving patients psychological health and nursing satisfaction. Methods a total of 86 patients with malignant 2023 admitted to our hospital between December 2022 and December 2022 were enrolled in this study. According to the method of random number table, the patients were divided into two groups with 43 cases in each group. Patients in the control group received routine nursing care, including disease monitoring, medication guidance and basic physical care. The patients in the Observation Group received additional psychological nursing intervention on the basis of routine nursing. The difference of the improvement of psychological state and nursing satisfaction between the two groups was compared to understand the effect of psychological nursing intervention. Results the scores of anxiety and depression in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group (p < 0.05), and the satisfaction degree of the Observation Group was 95.35%, while that of the control group was 81.39%. The difference was statistically significant (ꭓ2 = 16.342, p < 0.05), indicating that the observation group was significantly better than the control group in nursing satisfaction. Conclusion effective psychological nursing intervention can not only help patients cope with the disease better, but also improve their quality of life and patients satisfaction.
