Objective To explore the application effect of humanistic care in perioperative care of pediatric hernia. Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on the data of 100 children with hernia who received treatment in our hospital from March 2023 to December 2023. Among them, 50 children (control group) received routine care from March 2023 to June 2023, while 50 children (observation group) from March 2023 to December 2023 received humanistic care in addition to the control group. Compare the SAS, SDS, pain scores, and length of hospital stay between two groups of patients. Results The SAS and SDS scores of the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05); The pain score of the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05); The hospitalization time of the observation group was significantly shorter than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Implementing humanistic care during the perioperative period for pediatric hernia can significantly improve the psychological state of the child, alleviate pain, and shorten hospitalization time. This nursing model is worthy of clinical application and promotion.
