Objective To investigate the effect of press-acupuncture combined with rectal drops of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of early diabetic nephropathy. Methods A total of 80 patients with early diagnosis of diabetic nephropathy in 2023 were selected and randomly divided into two groups, namely the conventional group and the experimental group, with 40 patients in each group. The conventional group received conventional Western medicine treatment, while the experimental group tried the innovative treatment of press-acupuncture combined with rectal drops of traditional Chinese medicine. Blood glucose levels and renal function indexes were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. Results After treatment, the blood glucose level of the experimental group was significantly improved after treatment, which had a statistically significant difference compared with the conventional group (P<0.05). The renal function indexes of the experimental group also showed significant optimization, and the difference was also significant compared with the conventional group (P<0.05). Conclusion Rectal drip therapy combined with acupuncture has significant advantages in controlling blood glucose and improving renal function in patients with early diabetic nephropathy, and has potential clinical promotion value.
