Objective To analyze the effect of applying traditional Chinese medicine fumigation and washing nursing after hemorrhoid surgery. Methods From May 2021 to May 2023, 50 patients with postoperative pain in hemorrhoids who were treated at our community hospital during this period were selected as the study subjects. They were randomly divided into a control group of 25 patients who received routine potassium permanganate sitz baths after surgery, and an observation group of 25 patients who received traditional Chinese medicine fumigation care. The treatment effects of postoperative pain, anal edema, and abnormal bowel movements were compared between the two groups. Results After nursing, the postoperative pain in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group, the anal edema score was lower than that in the control group, and the number of abnormal bowel movements was lower than that in the control group. The differences were statistically significant, with P<0.05. Conclusion The application of traditional Chinese medicine fumigation and washing nursing after hemorrhoid surgery has a good effect, which can improve the pain in the patients anal area, enhance the bodys comfort, and improve anal edema, which is conducive to the restoration of normal bowel function.
