Objective To explore and analyze the nursing strategy and effect of safe medication for patients in neurology department. Methods This study was carried out in the Department of Neurology, and a total of 86 patients were selected as research objects, and were admitted to the department of Neurology from April 2023 to April 2024. The 86 patients were divided into two groups according to the admission order of the patients, namely the control group and the observation group, with 43 cases in each group. During the nursing period, routine nursing and drug safety management procedures were respectively implemented, and drug safety defect events and patient satisfaction were compared. Results According to the data statistics, the incidence of drug safety defects in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group (P < 0.05). In terms of satisfaction, the satisfaction score of patients in the observation group was significantly higher (P < 0.05). Conclusion The implementation of safe medication management procedures for neurology patients is helpful to improve the level of safe medication management and improve patient satisfaction.
