Objective To analyze the application effect and clinical value of health education combined with pain care on the sleep quality of patients with postherpetic neuralgia, for reference. Methods 100 patients with postherpetic neuralgia admitted to our hospital from June 2026 to June 2023 within one year were selected. All patients were divided into a control group (50 cases, using routine care) and a study group (50 cases, implementing health ed ucation combined with pain care) according to different nursing methods. Collect and analyze the effects of nursing care on two groups of patients. Results Both groups of patients achieved certain results after receiving nursing care, but the pain score of the study group was lower than that of the control group, and the sleep quality score was significantly lower than that of the control group, with statistical significance (P<0.05). Conclusion When implementing clinical treatment for patients with postherpetic neuralgia, the combination of health education and pain care can achieve significantly better results, significantly improve the patients sleep quality, and have high application value.
