[Abstract] Objective: to analyze the application effect of integrated medical and patient psychological nursing in patients with esophageal cancer undergoing concurrent radiotherapy and chemotherapy and its impact on patients bad mood. Methods: 96 patients with esophageal cancer treated with concurrent radiotherapy and chemotherapy in our hospital from June 2018 to June 2020 were divided into groups according to the lottery method (n = 48 in each group). The control group received routine nursing and the observation group received integrated psychological nursing. HAMA score, HMAD score, RPFS score, patient satisfaction, length of hospital stay and treatment cost were compared between the two groups. Results: the HAMA score, HMAD score and RPFS score of the observation group after nursing were lower than those of the control group, the patient satisfaction of the observation group (95.83%) was higher than that of the control group (70.83%), the hospital stay of the observation group was shorter than that of the control group, and the treatment cost of the observation group was lower than that of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: the implementation of integrated psychological nursing of medical care and patients during synchronous radiotherapy and chemotherapy for esophageal cancer patients can effectively improve the psychological state of patients, reduce cancer-related fatigue, promote physical rehabilitation, reduce treatment cost and improve patient satisfaction.
