[Abstract] Objective To analyze the characteristics of electroencephalogram (EEG) in depression after cerebral infarction. Methods A total of 100 patients with cerebral infarction in our hospital from October 2019 to June 2022 were selected as study subjects. According to whether there is depression, 53 cases were divided into depression group and 47 cases were divided into non depression group. Another 45 healthy people in the same period were selected as the control group. EEG examination was performed in all three groups. The EEG difference wave patterns of the three groups, and α、β、δ、θ Wave distribution were compared. Results The rate of abnormal EEG in depression group was significantly higher than that in non-depression group and control group (P<0.05). Low amplitude of depression group α Wave, low amplitude δ the wave was significantly higher than that in the non-depression group and the control group (P<0.05). Low amplitude of three groups β Wave, low amplitude θ Wave α Wave asymmetry α Wave generalization/forward shift β There was no significant difference in the increase of wave activity (P>0.05). Conclusion The EEG of depression after cerebral infarction showed abnormal performance with low amplitude α Wave, low amplitude δ Waves predominate.
