[Abstract] Objective To investigate the influencing factors of depression in patients with gynecological malignancies undergoing radiotherapy. Methods A total of 102 patients with gynecological malignant tumors in our hospital from February 2021 to February 2022 were the subjects of this study. The degree of depression during radiotherapy was evaluated, and the patients were divided into a depression group and a non-depression group. The general data such as age and educational level of the two groups, as well as the medical records such as tumor stage and side effects, were investigated. Univariate and multivariate analyses were performed. Results Depression was detected in 40 cases of 102 gynecological malignant tumor patients. Depression group and non-depression group age, tumor stage, family monthly income, education level, degree of bone marrow suppression, Karnofsky score (KPS), family care, payment method of medical expenses, and the difference was statistically significant with or without concurrent chemotherapy (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in marital status and occupational status between the two groups (P>0.05). Multivariate analysis showed that tumor stage IV, monthly family income < 2000 yuan, primary school education level or below, Grade IV myelosuppression , KPS score < 50 points, and poor family care were risk factors for depression in patients undergoing radiotherapy for malignant tumors in the department. Conclusion The depression rate of radiotherapy patients with gynecological malignant tumors is relatively high, which is affected by various factors such as tumor stage and economic status.
