Lacan introduced the perspective of structuralism into the psychoanalytic theory of "empathy", and believed that the relationship model referred to by empathy existed before the meeting between the two parties, and a set of unique relationship models was constructed through social culture and family. With the help of Lacans theory of empathy, this paper selects the case of dialogues recorded in the Department of Psychiatry, analyzes the operation of empathy from the perspectives of doctors and patients, and provides suggestions for a good doctor-patient relationship through the phenomenological interpretation of doctor-patient interaction. Under the impact of postmodern thought, understanding empathy has important implications for our understanding of the doctor-patient relationship in psychiatry.
