【Abstract】Objective To explore the impact of COVID-19 epidemic on mental health status of adolescents. Methods The self-designed general questionnaire was used to collect the relevant data of 2430 adolescents aged 15-20 years in a certain area. The general information questionnaire, PsychoSocial Index(PSI), the impact of the epidemic on stress, the social support rating scale (SSRS), and the symptom checklist 90 (SCL-90) were used to analyze the impact of COVID-19 epidemic on the mental health of adolescents. Results There was no significant difference in the impact of COVID-19 on the adolescents of different genders in well-being, abnormal behaviors, and quality of life of PSI (P>0.05). But in the face of stress, the impact of COVID-19 on male stress was significantly different (P<0.05); However, from the perspective of education level, there was no statistical difference in the impact of COVID-19 on pressure, abnormal behaviors, andquality of life of adolescents with different education levels (P>0.05). But in the sense of well-being of PSI, the epidemic had a significant impact on adolescents with education levels less than 9 years, with statistical differences (P<0.05). However, there was no significant difference between SSRS and SCL-90 in the relationship between stress degree, stress response and epidemic situation (P>0.05). Conclusion COVID-19 epidemic can affect the mental health of adolescents in different degrees, and it is necessary to carry out effective mental health education for adolescents.
