[Abstract] Objective To explore the effect of empathy nursing on anxiety and depression after hysterectomy for cervical cancer. Methods Seventy patients with cervical cancer in our hospital from February 2019 to February 2021 were the object of this study. They were randomly divided into two groups by digital table method. Both groups received basic nursing, the control group received routine psychological nursing, and the observation group received empathic nursing. Depression and anxiety were assessed by self-rating Depression Scale (SDS) and self-rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) before and after nursing. Cancer fatigue scale (CFS) and Chinese version of cancer patient quality of life scale (FACT-G) were used to evaluate the degree of fatigue and quality of life. Results The SDS score and SAS score of the two groups after nursing were significantly lower than those before operation, and the two scores of the observation group after nursing were significantly lower than those of the control group (P < 0.05). After nursing, the CFS score was significantly lower and the FACT-G score was significantly higher in the two groups, and the CFS score was lower than that in the control group, and the FACT-G score was higher than that in the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion Empathy nursing can significantly reduce the anxiety and depression of cervical cancer patients after hysterectomy, reduce the degree of cancer fatigue and improve the quality of life.
