[Abstract] Objective To explore the effects of Roys adaptive model nursing on the psychology and quality of life of patients with lung cancer after radiotherapy and chemotherapy. Methods In this study, 76 patients with lung cancer radiotherapy and chemotherapy in our hospital from June 2019 to June 2021 were selected and randomly divided into two groups. The control group was given routine nursing, and the observation group was combined with Roys adaptive model nursing on the basis of routine nursing. Before and after nursing, self-rating anxiety scale (SAS) and self-rating depression scale (SDS) were used to evaluate anxiety, depression and other adverse psychological emotions. The quality of life was assessed using the Quality-of-Life Scale (SF-36). Results After nursing, the SAS and SDS scores in the two groups were lower than those before nursing, and the comparison between the two groups after nursing showed that the two scores in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). After nursing, the scores of body, cognition, role, social function, energy and health status in the SF-36 scale of the two groups of patients were significantly increased, and the comparison between the two groups after nursing showed that the scores of the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion Roys adaptive model nursing can significantly improve anxiety, depression and other negative psychological emotions in patients with lung cancer radiotherapy and chemotherapy, and improve the quality of life.
