探讨精神分裂症患者血清半胱氨酸水平和认知功能的关系。方法 招募60名精神分裂症患者和60名年龄、性别和教育相匹配的健康对照者。检测血清半胱氨酸水平和血浆代谢参数。采用神经心理状态成套量表(RBANS)评估参与者的认知功能。结果 患者组血清半胱氨酸水平显著高于对照组(P<0.001)。患者组血清半胱氨酸水平与即刻记忆(β=0.306;P=0.017)、视觉广度(β=0.287;P=0.026)和延时记忆(β=0.277;P=0.025)呈正相关,但是健康对照组没有这些发现(P>0.05)。结论 本研究进一步证明氧化应激可能参与精神分裂症的发病机制,补充半胱氨酸水平可能改善精神分裂症患者的认知水平。
Abstract
Objective: To explore the relationship between serum cysteine level and cognitive function in patients with schizophrenia. Methods: 60 schizophrenics and 60 healthy controls matched with age, sex and education were recruited. Serum cysteine level and plasma metabolic parameters were measured. The cognitive function of participants was assessed by the neuropsychological state scale (RBANS). Results: The level of serum cysteine in the patient group was significantly higher than that in the control group (P<0.001). Serum cysteine level and immediate memory in patients (β= 0.306; P=0.017), visual span (β= 0.287; P=0.026) and delayed memory (β= 0.277; P=0.025), but the healthy control group did not have these findings (P>0.05). Conclusion: This study further proves that oxidative stress may participate in the pathogenesis of schizophrenia, and the supplementation of cysteine may improve the cognitive level of schizophrenics.
