[Abstract] Objective To explore the effect of supportive self-management model on the rehabilitation of stroke patients with depression. Methods Eighty-two patients with stroke depression in our hospital from January 2020 to June 2021 were the subjects of this study. They were randomly divided into groups by digital table method. The control group received routine nursing. The observation group adopted supportive self-management on the basis of routine nursing. Self rating Anxiety Scale (SAS), self rating Depression Scale (SDS) and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) were evaluated before and after intervention. The chronic disease self-management behavior scale was evaluated. Results After the intervention, the SDS score, SAS score and NIHSS score of the two groups were significantly lower than those before the intervention, and the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group after the intervention (P<0.05). After the intervention, the self-management scores of rehabilitation exercise, doctor communication and symptom management in the two groups increased significantly, and the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group after the intervention (P<0.05). Conclusion Using supportive self-management model for disease management of stroke depression can significantly improve negative emotions, promote the recovery of neurological function and improve the ability of disease management.
