Objective: To analyze the effect of tension-free hernia repair in the preperitoneal space in patients with inguinal hernia. Methods: 58 patients with inguinal hernia from February 2020 to February 2021 were enrolled in this study. The patients were randomly divided into two groups. Among them, 29 patients received routine operation (mesh plug tension-free hernioplasty) as the reference group; 29 cases of tension free hernia repair in the pre peritoneal space were treated as the experimental group. The therapeutic effects of the two groups were analyzed and compared. Results: The operation index and hospitalization time of the experimental group were better (P<0.05). The pain score in the experimental group was lower (P<0.05). The incidence of complications in the experimental group was 6.90%, while that in the reference group was 34.48%. The incidence of complications in the experimental group was lower (P<0.05). Conclusion: Tension free hernioplasty in the preperitoneal space is effective for inguinal hernia patients. It can reduce the amount of bleeding during the operation, shorten the operation time, postoperative recovery time and hospital stay, and has less pain. At the same time, it is safe. This shows that this treatment method has important value.
