Objective To analyze the treatment effect of elderly hypertension patients with diabetes in community. Methods 62 elderly patients with hypertension and diabetes in the community were selected from February 2021 to February 2022. They were randomly divided into treatment group B and treatment group A. Treatment group B was treated with valsartan, and treatment group A was treated with amlodipine on the basis of treatment group B, with 31 cases in each group. The treatment effects of the two groups were compared. Results The effective rate of treatment was higher in Group A (P<0.05). The comparison of blood glucose and blood pressure indicators showed that after treatment, the treatment group A had a lower level (P<0.05). Compared to the quality of life, treatment group A had a higher quality of life (P<0.05). Conclusion amlodipine combined with valsartan is effective in treating elderly patients with hypertension and diabetes, which can promote the therapeutic effect of patients, effectively control the blood pressure and blood sugar of patients, and thus improve the quality of life.
