Objective: Observe the condition changes of 114 elderly people with severe pneumonia and respiratory failure, and evaluate the construction value of the critical illness transfer group. Methods: In the first half of 2022,114 patients were all severe pneumonia combined with respiratory failure, which were evenly divided into two groups, including routine nursing group and professional nursing group, to record the recovery of patients and the occurrence of complications. Results: The mean time of ICU intervention, mean time of ventilator assistance in the dedicated care group were less than the usual care group, p <0.05; Before care, the data of arterial O and CO2 between the two groups were compared: p> 0.05. After nursing, the mean pressure of arterial oxygen in the dedicated care group was (90.05 ± 6.32) mmHg and the mean pressure of carbon dioxide was (35.01 ± 1.11) mmHg, which were better than those in the usual care group, p <0.05; the occurrence rate of complications in patients in the dedicated care group was 7.0%, less than 14.0% in the usual care group, p <0.05. Conclusion: For the elderly patients with severe pneumonia and respiratory failure, the medical staff should select the intervention mode of the critical care team to better improve the blood gas index of the patients and improve the safety of clinical treatment.
