Objective To investigate the core competence of elderly care workers under the background of medical care in northeast Sichuan and analyze the influencing factors. Methods In the sample of northeast Sichuan, the sample size was 100. The present situation and influencing factors of the core competence of elderly care workers under the background of combining medical care in northeast Sichuan are analyzed. Results The survey results show that 100 nursing care attitude scores (19.33 ± 1.23), elderly care knowledge (15.45 ± 0.31), elderly care service behavior (12.12 ± 0.31), the elderly care service attitude is the highest, the elderly care knowledge is average, and the elderly care service behavior is the lowest. The evaluation of core competence was at the middle level, and the score of each dimension was communication and coordination ability (3.12 ± 0.21)> Job satisfaction (2.87 ± 0.18)> operation ability (2.43 ± 0.17)> strain ability (2.37 ± 0.15)> management ability (2.13 ± 0.14)> scientific research ability (2.03 ± 0.11). There were 42 (42.00%) of core competence, 40 (40.0%) of core competency (40.00%), and 18 (18.00%). Conclusion Under the background of the combination of medical care in northeast Sichuan, the problems are low level of nursing service and insufficient core competence. The influencing factors are mainly related to the factors of short working years, factors of not participating in pre-job training and educational background. It is necessary to build a standardized training system that meets the personalized needs of elderly care workers under the background of the combination of medical care in northeast Sichuan, so as to enhance the level and core competence of elderly care workers, meet the needs of elderly care workers for elderly care services, and truly benefit the elderly care workers in northeast Sichuan.
