Objective: To explore the clinical application effect of multidisciplinary team (MDT) collaborative nursing model in neurosurgery critical patients. Methods: From January 2019 to October 2019, 169 severely ill patients hospitalized in the Department of Neurosurgery were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group, with 79 cases in the control group and 90 cases in the observation group. The control group received conventional nursing, and the observation group received MDT cooperative nursing. After intervention, the oral care scores of the two groups of patients and the incidence of postoperative pneumonia (POP) of different types of diseases were compared, and the influencing factors of POP were analyzed. Results: The oral care score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the incidence of POP in the observation group was lower than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The occurrence of POP in neurologically ill patients has nothing to do with age, gender, ASA grade, disease type, etc. (p>0.05), and is related to the type of care. Conclusion: MDT collaborative nursing model can reduce the occurrence of POP, improve patients quality of life, and improve nursing satisfaction.
