Objective To explore the application effect of gel pad in modified lithotomy position in gynecological surgery. Methods From January 2022 to December 2022, 82 gynecological surgery patients admitted to our hospital were selected as the key population of this study. They were divided into two groups: control group (41) and observation group (41). They were operated on conventional lithotomy position or modified lithotomy position with gel pad, and the intervention effects of the two groups were compared. Results The total scores of physiology, psychology, environment, social culture and comfort (GCQ) in observation group were higher than those in control group, and the differences were significant (P<0.05). The complication rate of observation group was lower than control group (2.44%VS19.52%), the difference was significant (P<0.05). The total nursing satisfaction of the observation group （100.00%) was higher than that of the control group (80.49%), and the difference was significant (P<0.05). The operation time and intraoperative blood loss in the observation group were significantly less than those in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion The modified lithotomy position using gel pad for gynecological surgery can improve the comfort of patients, reduce complications and improve patient satisfaction, which is worth popularizing.
