Objective To investigate the effect of whole course management mode on complications related to implantable arm infusion port and patients quality of life in chemotherapy patients. Methods A total of 60 patients from January 2021 to December 2021 who received chemotherapy at the implantable arm infusion port were selected as the study objects, and were randomly divided into control group and observation group with 30 cases each. The control group adopted routine nursing management mode, and the observation group implemented whole-course management mode on the basis of the control group. The related complications and quality of life of the two groups of patients were compared. Results The incidence of incision infection, thrombosis, axillary reticulum syndrome, withdrawal obstruction and incision dehysis in the observation group was 3.33%, which was lower than that in the control group (20.00%) (P < 0.05). There was no significant difference in the quality of life score (SF-36) between the two groups before management (P > 0.05), and the SF-36 score of the observation group after management was significantly higher than that of the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion The whole-course management model can reduce the incidence of complications related to implantable arm infusion port in chemotherapy patients, and can also improve the quality of life of patients, so it is worth promoting.
