Objective To explore how to do hospice nursing in primary hospitals. Methods 26 cancer patients admitted to our hospital in the last two years were selected as the study objects, and were randomly divided into two groups. Control group had 13 cases, using conventional nursing methods; Hospice care was given to 13 patients in the experimental group. During the experiment period, the nursing effectiveness, quality of life, negative emotion and satisfaction with nursing measures were compared between the two groups. Results Through the observation of the two groups of patients, the observed effective rate of the two groups of patients were 92.31% and 69.23%, there was a statistically significant difference, P<0.05; The quality of life of the experimental group was significantly better than that of the control group (P<0.05). The scores of the depression and anxiety self-rating scale showed that the negative emotions of the experimental group were significantly improved than the positive emotions of the control group (P<0.05); By means of questionnaire survey, the satisfaction of patients on nursing was investigated. The results showed that the satisfaction of patients in the experimental group was 84.62%, compared with 53.65% of patients in the control group, there was a significant advantage, P<0.05. Conclusion Hospice nursing for cancer patients can effectively improve the quality of life and negative emotion of patients, and has better clinical application value.
