Objective: T o explore the treatment methods and clinical effects of digestive medicine in elderly patients with type 2 diabetes and functional constipation. Methods: A total of 90 elderly patients with type 2 diabetes and functional constipation who were admitted to our hospital from January 2020 to December 2020 were divided into two groups, with the number of patients in each group being 45. Patients in the control group were treated with mosapride, and patients in the observation group were treated with lactulose combined with bifidobacteria on this basis. The clinical treatment effects of these two methods on elderly type 2 diabetic patients with functional constipation were compared. Results: After data analysis, it can be found that the treatment effectiveness, recurrence rate, adverse reaction rate, dysfunction score, number of bowel movements per week, and incomplete defecation scores in the observation group are significantly related to those in the control group. The difference is statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion: The triple therapy of mosapride, lactulose and bifidobacteria can significantly improve the overall therapeutic effect and safety of elderly type 2 diabetic patients with functional constipation, and make the patients bowel function return to normal as soon as possible. At the same time, it can effectively reduce the recurrence rate of this kind of disease and protect patients from additional pain. It is worthy of further promotion in future clinical treatment work.
