This paper reports the nursing experience of a case of traumatic fracture dislocation of the fourth cervical vertebra with high paraplegia, and without nursing complications after Tracheal intubation, tracheotomy, and ventilator assisted breathing for more than 10 days. Through close monitoring, timely tracheotomy, artificial airway administration, effective sputum suction, various measures to prevent respiratory tract infections, and strengthened overall care, the patients vital signs remained stable during hospitalization without obvious respiratory complications. After 22 days of hospitalization, the patient successfully withdrew from the ventilator and was discharged after rehabilitation.
