Objective To explore the utility value of implementing comfort care in the treatment of severe hepatitis with artificial liver plasma exchange. Methods This study included a total of 50 patients with severe hepatitis undergoing artificial liver plasma exchange treatment, who were randomly divided into a control group and an intervention group, with 25 patients in each group. The control group received routine care, while the intervention group received comfort care. The clinical application effects of the two groups were compared. Results There was no statistically significant difference in the psychological state scores of the two groups of patients before nursing (P>0.05). After the intervention, the comfort score of the intervention group was significantly higher than that of the control group (P<0.05). At the same time, the SAS and SDS scores of the intervention group were significantly decreased (P<0.05). Conclusion Comfort care during the period of artificial liver plasma exchange treatment for severe hepatitis can effectively improve the negative conditions of patients and significantly increase the overall comfort of patients.
