Objective To study the effect and value of newborn touch care based on family participatory care model in the care of newborns. Methods The number of cases in this study was 150, all of them were from newborns admitted to our hospital during the period of February 2023-July 2023, and according to the principle of parity randomisation, they were divided into the control group and the observation group, and the routine nursing interventions and the newborn touch care based on the family participatory nursing model were applied respectively, and the satisfaction of the hospitalised mothers, the clinical indexes, and the incidence of adverse reactions of the two groups were evaluated and analysed. Analysis. Results After the intervention, the observation group had higher maternal satisfaction, lower incidence of adverse reactions including rash, diarrhoea and high fever, and the newborns had earlier foetal discharge and more frequent defecation. The values between the groups were P < 0.05, indicating the significance of the comparison. Conclusion The clinical nursing effect of neonatal touch care based on family participatory nursing model is remarkable, which can effectively improve the quality of neonatal care and maternal satisfaction, and reduce the incidence of neonatal clinical adverse reactions, which is worthy of promotion in the clinic.
