Objective To explore the application of rehabilitation nursing for hand burn wound. Methods The sample of this study included 72 patients with hand burn treated from June 2022 to June 2023 and grouped them into the following categories based on rehabilitation nursing intervention: The routine nursing group (n=36) and rehabilitation nursing group (n=36) were followed by questionnaires to understand the satisfaction of patients in the two groups, psychological questionnaires and mental health assessments were used to obtain the patients adverse psychological scores, and questionnaires and medical knowledge tests were used to understand the patients cognition of the rehabilitation points of hand burns. The disability probability of the two groups of hand burn patients was calculated using professional assessment tools. Results The satisfaction of patients in rehabilitation nursing group was higher than that in conventional nursing group, P < 0.05; After nursing, the adverse psychological score of rehabilitation nursing group was better than that of conventional nursing group, P < 0.05; The cognition of rehabilitation points and cooperation degree of rehabilitation nursing in the rehabilitation nursing group were better than those in the conventional nursing group (P < 0.05). The probability of disability in routine nursing group was higher than that in rehabilitation nursing group (P < 0.05). Conclusion Rehabilitation nursing for hand burn patients can effectively improve the satisfaction of hand burn patients, better cognition of rehabilitation points and improve cooperation, and reduce the probability of disability. It is beneficial to slow down the progress of hand burn and improve its prognosis, and has great value in clinical promotion.
