Objective To study the effective value of implementing clinical nursing pathways for patients undergoing acute appendicitis surgery. Methods 88 patients with acute appendicitis who underwent surgery between January 2021 and June 2022 were selected for medical observation. Based on the digital table method, they were divided into two groups, including the clinical guidance group and the general guidance group. The surgical intervention and pain sensation of the two groups of patients were statistically analyzed. Results The average time required for improvement of bowel sounds in the clinical guidance group was (11.35 ± 3.40) hours, the average time for first exhaust was (21.06 ± 4.52) hours, the average time for antibiotic application was (2.83 ± 0.46) days, the average time for first out of bed activity was (2.30 ± 0.42) days, and the time required for hospitalization was (4.59 ± 0.63) days, all of which were better than those in the general guidance group (p<0.05); After intervention, the clinical guidance group had better pain, quality of life, and self-care ability scores than the general guidance group, with a p-value of 0.05. Conclusion In the intervention of patients undergoing acute appendicitis surgery, clinical nursing pathways should be selected to comprehensively promote patient prognosis, reduce patient pain, and strengthen patient self-care ability, which can be promoted.
