Objective: To analyze the value of holistic nursing in the perioperative period of senile acute appendicitis. Methods: 66 elderly patients with acute appendicitis treated in our hospital from January 2019 to October 2020 were selected as the observation objects, and they were divided into routine group and overall group with 33 cases respectively according to the lottery method. The routine group received routine care and the overall group received overall care. The nursing results of the two groups in various clinical indexes[anal exhaust time(H), postoperative eating time(H), postoperative pain time(H), hospital stay(d)]and the incidence of complications were compared and analyzed. Results: Compared with the routine group, the anal exhaust time(H) (36.86±5.42), postoperative diet time(H) (20.59±3.61), postoperative pain time(H) (4.16±1.54), postoperative pain time(H) (1.47±0.64) and hospitalization time(d) (7.01±0.55) in the overall group were shorter, The difference was statistically significant (P<0.05); The incidence of complications in the overall group (6.06%) was lower than that in the routine group (24.24%). The difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion: The value of holistic nursing in the perioperative period of senile acute appendicitis is high and can be popularized.
