Objective To analyze the application effect of problem-centered teaching method in gynecological nursing teaching. Methods Eighty-six nursing interns who practice in obstetrics and gynecology department of our hospital were randomly divided into reference group and experimental group, and 43 interns were selected in each group. The teaching mode of reference group was traditional teaching, while that of experimental group was problem-centered. Results The scores of theoretical knowledge, practical operation ability and case analysis ability of the experimental group were significantly higher than those of the reference group (P < 0.05). The teaching satisfaction of the experimental group, such as teaching quality, teachers attitude, self-interest in learning, self-analysis ability and self-thinking ability, was significantly higher than that of the reference group (P<0.05). Conclusion Applying the problem-centered teaching method in clinical nursing teaching of obstetrics and gynecology can help nursing interns to master more nursing theoretical knowledge and clinical operation skills, effectively improve their case analysis ability and learning interest, improve their thinking ability, and significantly improve the teaching quality, which is worthy of recommendation.
