Objective This article explores the service quality of PICC nursing outpatient department set up in our hospital (grade 2a and grade III hospital) to provide regular maintenance nursing services for patients with PICC catheter indwelling and discharged with the catheter in the area. Methods this time, patients who received PICC adjuvant treatment in the PICC nursing outpatient department of our hospital from May 2017 to September 2022 were selected as the research objects. The self-made questionnaire of our hospital was used to compare the survey results of catheter maintenance service quality of the two groups of patients. Results the satisfaction rate of nursing service in the study group was 95.71%, the adverse conditions related to PICC (skin infection 3.81%, catheter blockage 4.76%, catheter rupture 2.38%), and the qualified rate of self-care ability was 62.86%, which were better than those in the control group (P < 0.05), indicating that there was a comparative significance. Conclusion setting up PICC nursing clinic in our hospital to provide regular maintenance and nursing services to patients with PICC catheter indwelling and discharged with the catheter in the region can effectively improve the satisfaction of patients with nursing services and their self-care ability, and significantly reduce the occurrence of adverse conditions during the catheter.
