Objective To observe the effect of applying the integrated airway nursing to reduce the incidenceof lung infection in patients undergoing lung cancer surgery. Methods According to the way of comparativenursing observation, 76 patients with lung cancer undergoing surgical treatment from February 2021 to June 2022were enrolled as the objects. The patients were divided into the control group (38 cases, routine nursing) and theobservation group (38 cases, centralized airway nursing) by double blind method. The recovery of patients in thetwo groups was analyzed. Results There was no difference between the two groups in the 6-minute walking testand Borg dyspnea score before and after the intervention, P>0.05. After the intervention, the observation group wasbetter than the control group, P<0.05. According to the statistics of the complications of the two groups duringrecovery, the incidence of atelectasis, pulmonary infection and incision infection in the observation group werelower than those in the control group (P<0.05). The time of oxygen therapy and hospitalization in the observationgroup were shorter than those in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion The application of centralized airwaymanagement in the nursing of patients with lung cancer surgery can reduce the incidence of pulmonary infection,improve the respiratory function of patients, and help patients recover.
