Education is the foundation of national development in the long run. Art education is an important part of primary and secondary school curriculum and the key to implement aesthetic education. At present, the curriculum reform of art education has entered a critical period.The professional development level of art teachers directly affects the development of the whole quality education. This paper discusses the importance of strengthening the professional development of art teachers in secondary vocational schools, deeply analyzes the current situation of art education in secondary vocational schools in Sichuan and the professional development, and puts forward some suggestions on how to promote the positive development of art teachers in secondary vocational schools in order to provide reference for improving art teachers’ team construction in secondary vocational schools in Sichuan.
