Objective: To analyze the effect of different surgical methods for colorectal cancer. Methods 40 patients with colorectal cancer from March 2021 to March 2022 were randomly selected by double blind method. Group A (open surgery) and Group B (laparoscopic surgery) were compared in surgical results. Results The complication rate of 5.00% and 5-year survival rate of 100.00% in group B were better than those of 30.00% and 80.00% in group A (P<0.05); Comparison of operation time and tumor diameter between the two groups (p>0.05); The amount of bleeding during operation, the time of intestinal function recovery, the times of analgesia per capita, the number of lymph nodes removed, and the length of hospital stay in group B were better than those in group A (p<0.05); At discharge, the scores of quality of life in group B (physical function (83.94 ± 4.03), social function (83.71 ± 3.56), physiological function (83.62 ± 4.24), and psychological function (83.34 ± 3.59) were higher than those in group A (p<0.05). Conclusion Laparoscopic surgery for colorectal cancer requires longer operation time, but it can achieve better curative effect and recovery effect, and significantly improve the quality of life of patients.
