Objective To explore the effect of psychological nursing on improving the bad mood of patientswith periodontal disease during orthodontic treatment; Methods Retrospective analysis, 72 patients who receivedorthodontic treatment for periodontal disease in our hospital from July 2020 to July 2022 were selected as theresearch object, and they were divided into the observation group and the control group according to the order oforthodontic treatment, 36 patients in each group. The observation group adopted psychological nursing and thecontrol group adopted routine nursing. The nursing effects of the two groups were compared by collecting thenegative emotions and quality of life of the patients after receiving nursing care. Results The improvement ofemotion in the observation group was better than that in the control group (P<0.05); After all aspects of the patientsstatus were improved, their enthusiasm for life was improved, and their quality of life showed a straight upwardtrend. The quality of life in the observation group was better than that in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Inthe process of orthodontic treatment for patients with periodontal disease, psychological nursing can effectivelyimprove their quality of life, significantly improve the bad emotions caused by the disease, and patients can liveand work normally. The nursing effect is significant, which is worth promoting.
