Objective To analyze the value of nursing intervention based on self-efficacy theory in radicalresection of esophageal cancer. Methods From November 2020-June 2022, the patients with esophageal cancerundergoing radical resection in our undergraduate department (n=62) were randomly divided into two groups, 31 inthe trial group and 31 in the control group. The former received nursing intervention based on self-efficacy theory,while the latter received routine nursing care. Compare ESCA scores and other indicators. Results As for GSESscore, at the end of intervention, the score of test group (29.36 ± 3.15) was higher than that of control group (20.54± 3.92) (P<0.05). The hospitalization time and recovery time of bowel sounds in the test group were (15.21 ± 3.12)d and (31.23 ± 4.97) h, respectively, which were shorter than those in the control group (18.97 ± 3.56) d and (35.46± 5.02) h (P<0.05). As for satisfaction, the data of the experimental group was 96.77%, which was higher than thatof the control group (80.65%, P < 0.05). Conclusion With the nursing intervention based on self-efficacy theory,the duration of hospital stay is shorter, the disease recovery is faster, the improvement of self-efficacy is moreobvious, and the satisfaction is increased more rapidly.
